Scrap Book Paper Ornament

I really love Christmas, and since Christmas is this month I thought why not do a Christmas craft for my blog this week! So if you just have any old Christmas scrap book paper laying around the house, Then this is the crafts for you! this week is just a simple little pine cone ornament that is made out of little oval shaped pieces of scrap book paper. I think that this is just a super cute little craft that would be easy for just about anyone. All the article really talks about is that this is a kid friendly, or just a easy activity for all ages for the Christmas holiday.

This craft could also be related to a few academics, these two academics would be science, and social studies. You can relate this craft to social studies because Christmas is a Christian holiday. You can also relate this craft to Science because this craft is just made out of old recycled Scrap book paper. Thank you so much reading, and tell  me what you think about this craft! I hope that you enjoyed!

Burlap Wreath

So, for my blog this week, I chose to do it on this super cute, and super easy to do burlap wreath. Now most of you might think that a burlap wreath, that is not going to look very pretty, but it really is when it is all finished and has a little bit of decoration. So in this article what is basically going on is a step by step how to tutorial, and just what you will need and just some background about this type of wreath. When I heard about making these wreaths, I thought that it would be too complicated to complete, but really and truly it was super easy!
This is a cute and easy wreath that can be used for many festivities, and you can always interchange the decorations to match what season is going on, or even what holiday! When you are able to decorate this wreath for holidays, you can relate the craft to social studies because you learn about the different religions, and you can relate this craft to the Christian religion for Christmas. The other connection, which is a super obvious one, would to be to math! In order to make this wreath you have to make sure that you have all of the different sizes of all of the supplies, so that your wreath turns out just the way you want it to. Well thank you all so much for reading this! I hope you enjoyed it!

Recycled Bottle Cap Tortoise

This week I chose to do my blog on a super cute recycled bottle cap tortoise. I personally love turtles and I thought that this would look great outdoors or even indoors. Although this is a simple craft that you can do yourself, this is a craft that you can actually just buy. This article basically just talks about how beneficial this craft is to girls and young women in Kenya.
There are a few good connections to academics that you can make from this topic, such as world geography or even biology. The connection that you could make to world geography would be Kenya! These little crafts mean the world to these girls that make these. Making these crafts give these girls independence, and it also gives them a higher standard of living. Now when you think of biology, many of you would think that it is biology because it is a tortoise, but it is not. This craft relates to biology because this is recycling which is science. The great thing about making this craft is that it is 100% free. All you need are some recycled pieces that you can find in your house. I hope that you enjoy this super fun craft as much as I do! Thanks for reading and please comment down below! Bye!

Paint Can Pyramid

So this week is a super fun craft that is a primary need for all crafters. If you are like me when you decide to start a craft, 24 hours later your supplies are nowhere to be found. This is a short and easy craft to do and all you need are some old paint cans, a hot glue gun, crafting paper, and some crafting tools to fill the paint cans with. Once you make your wonderful paint cans, you can go ahead and start to stack them in a pyramid formation (make sure you glue the paint cans together, or the pyramid will not work).

As you all may, or may not know, there is always room to add some academic connections to your super fun crafts. There are many academic connections that you can use for this craft, but I am only going to stick with two of them. The first connection that you could make would be a connection to social studies. This is not really a clear connection, but if you have read then you will notice that you glue all of your finished cans together into a pyramid. Pyramids are widely known for the Egyptian culture and so, pyramids go together great for a social studies connection. This next connection is also not a totally clear connection either, but it can certainly be related to English Language Arts. This connection is made by using all of the pens and pencils that were just added to your paint can pyramid so you can write an essay for your English class. Well thank you so much for taking your time to read this blog. I hope that you enjoyed! Please comment!

DIY Duct Tape Lawn Chair

This duct tape chair is such a cute 4th of July craft, although the 4th of July is a while away, you can always go ahead and start planning today. This is a super cute and festive craft that you can do, and you can do it for just about any holiday, or even any season.it is very simple, and all you will need is an old lawn chair (or a new one, it really does not matter), some duct tape, some spray paint, and a pair of scissors and a measuring tape might come in handy too. I myself really love this idea, and would really be interested in trying it out myself. When it comes to crafting, you can always make a few great academic connections. In this craft you can make an academic connection to math and a connection to social studies. Most of you are wondering well how in the world is it possible to connecting crafting with academics, but really it is quite easy. The connection being made with social studies would be the 4th of July because of our American culture we celebrate the 4th of July as an American holiday. The other connection that can be made would be connections to math because all perfect do it yourself projects have to have perfect math measurements. Well thanks for reading; I hope you enjoy this craft as much as I do.
