Burlap Wreath

So, for my blog this week, I chose to do it on this super cute, and super easy to do burlap wreath. Now most of you might think that a burlap wreath, that is not going to look very pretty, but it really is when it is all finished and has a little bit of decoration. So in this article what is basically going on is a step by step how to tutorial, and just what you will need and just some background about this type of wreath. When I heard about making these wreaths, I thought that it would be too complicated to complete, but really and truly it was super easy!
This is a cute and easy wreath that can be used for many festivities, and you can always interchange the decorations to match what season is going on, or even what holiday! When you are able to decorate this wreath for holidays, you can relate the craft to social studies because you learn about the different religions, and you can relate this craft to the Christian religion for Christmas. The other connection, which is a super obvious one, would to be to math! In order to make this wreath you have to make sure that you have all of the different sizes of all of the supplies, so that your wreath turns out just the way you want it to. Well thank you all so much for reading this! I hope you enjoyed it!

Recycled Bottle Cap Tortoise

This week I chose to do my blog on a super cute recycled bottle cap tortoise. I personally love turtles and I thought that this would look great outdoors or even indoors. Although this is a simple craft that you can do yourself, this is a craft that you can actually just buy. This article basically just talks about how beneficial this craft is to girls and young women in Kenya.
There are a few good connections to academics that you can make from this topic, such as world geography or even biology. The connection that you could make to world geography would be Kenya! These little crafts mean the world to these girls that make these. Making these crafts give these girls independence, and it also gives them a higher standard of living. Now when you think of biology, many of you would think that it is biology because it is a tortoise, but it is not. This craft relates to biology because this is recycling which is science. The great thing about making this craft is that it is 100% free. All you need are some recycled pieces that you can find in your house. I hope that you enjoy this super fun craft as much as I do! Thanks for reading and please comment down below! Bye!
